The church was officially registered at Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on December 22, 2023. The Founder and Pastor Basilisco B. Elimanco Jr. has a previous license under Lapasan Baptist Church of Cagayan de Oro, Inc., led by Pastor Dimver Andales which was expired last December 31, 2024. However, due to issues surrounding Pastor Andales' case, it was decided to establish an independent church. Victory Baptist Church of Patag Cagayan de Oro City, Inc. was founded, inspired its name from Joshua 1:1-9, which speaks of victory.
