CHURCH- THE BODY OF CHRIST

The Church- The Body of Christ is a breakaway from the Iglesia Filipina Independence ( I.F.I) headed before by the late Bishop Gregorio Aglipay, after the death of Bishop Aglipay, there was a rivalry between two bishops who emerged,on who will be the successor in administering the IFI, and its properties. During that time the Obispo Maximo is Bishop Santiago Fonacier and the General Secretary is Bishop Isabelo Delos Reyes, this two had an altercation or dispute, this quarrel reached on case and sprang to the Supreme Court and at that time, the Chief Justice was Judge Claro M. Recto, Bishop Delos Reyes, won the case against Bishop Fonacier and that was the begining of the faction. Our Bishop of Western Mindanao the late Lucilo G. Miñoza, who is the organizer of the Church- The Body of Christ was once under the faction of Bishop Fonacier, Bishop Fonacier's group registered againanother name of church called Independent Church of Filipino Christian ( ICFC), Bishop Lucilo G. Miñoza as a Diocesan Bishop of Mindanao objected that said name to be registered because there was no biblical basis, during that time there were so many missionaries who came here in the Philippines especially in Mindanao. Alien churches propagating their religious sect and depending our flock against alien churches which their foundation basis was not base in the Holy Scripture and the name I.C.F.C could not be found in the Holy Scripture and they could not propagate and defend either biblically. The massive conversion of alien churches among our members ha great things that touch and move our Bishop, the late Lucilo G. Miñoza to make fasting in few days seeking the assistance and guidance of the Lord God to reveal his only Church and through vision, the Lord God revealed to him the only one true church founded by our Lord and all its verses inside, they incorporate themselves and made it registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Manila last March 17, 1966 with Registry No.28999. Thanks to the Lord that He revealed one true church, His doctrines and teachings were introduced biblically and was accepted by the masses who gave great sympathy to the biblical truth, profess by kindred's of Filipino nationwide. Ever since then, the fast rapid conversion of the masses to the Church- The Body Of Christ that was organized by the late Bishop Lucilo G. Miñoza have reached our most task erecting chapels, has spread out in the whole Philippine Island, inspired by the Founder, Our LOrd JESUS CHRIST.
