Matigsalug Manobo ICC

On August 23, 2019, the Council of Elders of the Matigsalug Manobo ICCs/IPs selected Datu Cosme M. Lambayon as Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMR) in the local legislative councils of the Municipality of Kitaotao with the presence of the Provincial Officer and Staff of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples of the Province of Bukidnon. Datu Lambayon is instrumental in securing the ancestral domains of the Matigsalug Manobo ICCs/IPs through the issuance of a Certificate of Ancestral Domain Claim (CADC) by virtue of DENR DAO No. 02, series of 1993 and later the issuance of a Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) No. R10-KIT-0703-011 dated July 25, 2003 more particularly located in the portions of Marilog District, Davao City; portions of Arakan, North Cotabato and portions of the municipalities of Kitaotao, Quezon, Kibawe, San Fernando, all in the Province of Bukidnon with a total land area of 102,324.8186 hectares and the said CADT was entered into the Registry of Deeds of the Province of Bukidnon as AD-01 on January 9, 2006. Datu Lambayon has served the Matigsalug Manobo tribe for 30 years since 1989 when he was then the Secretary of the Sangguniang Bayan of Kitaotao during the incumbency of Late Mayor Datu Lorenzo B. Gawilan, Jr. to until the present.
