MINDANAO CHRIST'S GOSPEL FELLOWSHIP MINISTRIES, INC.

Rev. Godfrey P. Santonil and his wife Marilie both graduated in 1990 from Word of Life Bible Institute located in Laguna. They worked with Word of Life Philippines-Mindanao Branch as missionaries from June 1990 to December 1996. In January 1997, they obeyed God's call to do church planting ministry in Cagayan de Oro City under the umbrella of Christ's Gospel Fellowship Ministries, Inc.with its head office in Makati. Starting a church was really hard for both of them but two other ladies, Nicolasa C. Acero and Charity F. Taga who are also graduates of Word of Life Bible Institute, made the ministry lighter for the couple. By God's enablement, a church was reformed and had its first Worship Service in June 1, 1997 at Roa & Sons Printing Press in Mabini Street. One of its baptized members is Grant Tancongco, now already a WOL missionary. The church gradually grew and held its services there for a time. After two years and a half, the congregation moved to its rented unit in State Investment Building - Tiano Street. Many years had passed and the LORD provided a way (through musical concerts, member's contributions, and donations from friends) for the church to acquire a lot for its services and all other related religious activities. So, on its 10th Anniversary, the church celebrated in its own place in Westbound Terminal, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City. The building is a loan from an anonymous and very generous person which the church is still paying until now. That was also the time when the church had registered its name with SEC as Mindanao Christ's Gospel Fellowship Ministries, Inc. Over the years, God, being the head, produced committed and faithful leaders and members from the congregation. Mindanao Christ's Gospel Fellowship Ministries, Inc. is now on its 20th year with the same pastor, REV. GODFREY P. SANTONIL from the very start until now. It has over two hundred official members and worshippers meeting every sunday for worship and fellowship. ALL GLORY TO THE GREAT, AWESOME AND MIRACULOUS GOD!
