OLUTANGA CONVENTION BAPTIST CHURCH, INC.

This congregation started on January 5, 1995 as an Extension of the congregation of Solar Evangelical Church. As a congregation whose most members came from mediocre families, it started in House Church as the residence of one active couple members, Mr. and Mrs. Everildo Gumba. It started with only twelve (12) families with more or less sixty (60) attendance with one Guest Minister, Pastor Sangco. Few months of the operation, the Guest Minister transferred to other church but the congregation was not deserted since another Pastor came to handle it. Pastor Gil Soberano, the second worker who lead the congregation. Later, the church had purchase a lot where they can establish the church building. As the number of members increases the congregation, through the caucus of the deacons and elders they decided to affiliate to Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches, Inc. Since some blessed members were able to work abroad and are very supportive on the ministry and as they requested for official membership of their congregation, the Council decided to register to Securities and Exchange Commission and upon the evaluation of the said commission and by accomplishing the requirements set by SEC, October 27, 2014 the church was officially registered and presently bear the name OLUTANGA CONVENTION BAPTIST CHURCH. Presently, the church has an extension congregation at Barangay Sta. Maria, Olutanga, Zamboanga Sibugay with approximately sixty (60) active members. The congregation continue to hold and extend various services to the members of the community and to its members such as Invitation Home Bible Studies, Birthday and Thanks giving Celebration, Necrological Services and Dedication Services.
