OROQUIETA CHRISTIAN DOCTRINAL CHURCH, INC.

Doctrinal was organized by the late Attorney John K. Go, Mr. Catalino Quimno, and Reverend Ramson B. Magto in late June 2012 in the home of Mrs. Felina Lumantas at Layawan, Oroquieta City. The first public worship service was held at Lumantas Riverside Garden in Layawan, Oroquieta City. It was attended by more or less fifty faithful members. During those formative years, new members were slow in joining the church, but Reverend Magto and the members carried on in the name of the Lord. The church was forced to move from their present location on the first Sunday of June 2013, after a purchased of property and erected a temporary church building at the same nearby place. With great conviction, the Reverend Magto and Attorney John K. Go and the congregation reflected on the following verse of a song : "Through many dangers, toils and snares, i have already come. Faith has brought me safe thus far, and faith shall lead me on" Revelation 3:8 " I know thy works, Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it." "Into each life some rain must fall". The Reverend Ramson Magto was suddenly called home to be with God on December 12, 2017 while he was admitted at Misamis Occidental Provincial Hospital because of heart attacked. Doctrinal Church was shocked and saddened at this lost. Reverend Henry Magto, a Missionary Pastor of Cagayan De Oro City under Mindanao Grace Doctrinal Mission Inc., was appointed to serve as interim pastor while Doctrinal conducted a formal search for a new pastor. They prayed a lot that God would continue to sustain through the difficult period as He had done in the past. Christian Doctrine Church sailed through turbulent waters, but kept looking to the hills, knowing that their help was from the Lord". God led the congregation by the hand every step of the way for the next twenty four months. On Sunday of June 1, 2018, the Reverend Jesybless E. Ortenero was called to serve as the second pastor of the Oroquieta Christian Doctrinal Church. He was installed on Sunday, June 3, 2018 by the Church Council members led by Mr. Jaime Galay. Until now Christian Doctrinal Church is continuing its efforts to be "The Church with a mission" and to grow for the cause of Christ. God has blessed the church with numerous souls who have been won for Christ and baptized since 2018. Many persons have also united in membership by Christian experience and reinstatement. New and reorganized groups have become a part of the church ministries. Midweek Preaching is held and several outreaches and bible studies conducted. Additional major physical improvements have been made to the church facility and grounds. Under the divine leadership of God and Pastor, The Reverend Jesybless E. Ortenero, who has the heart of shepherd, Oroquieta Christian Doctrinal Church continues to be an instrument in the hand God.By now membership reached out to two hundred individuals excluding zero to twelve years old as attached herewith.
