History:
TCF started in the heart of Ptr. Noly Garvida when he was still a college student in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) in Intramuros, Manila sometime in 1973. It was a strong distinct desire place in his heart by God, a year after he encountered God personally in a dramatic fashion. This was the time when the spirit of God was moving in the lives of the youth, the out-of-school and those in the campuses of many universities and colleges in Metro Manila. This coincided also with the years when militant activism against the government was being carried out by another sector of the youth influenced by communist ideology of Leninism and Maoism and another sector called hippies being high on drugs and rejecting established institutions and the traditional social practices and embraced aspects of Eastern philosophy. It was a timely moving of the Holy Spirit such that many were snatched away from certain destruction of the young people's future and prevent them from becoming a major burden and problem to the society. The powerful move of the Holy Spirit changed the lives of many, and this lead to the formation of the Jesus People National Fellowship, Inc. (JPNF) composed of students from various schools and universities in 1973. Ptr. Garvida was the first elected head of this duly SEC registered organization for two consecutive years. After graduation, most of the students found jobs and practiced their professions but remained involved in the ministry of JPNF, whose name was then changed to Christ the Livingstone Fellowship Inc. in 1983. Many daughter churches were then established all over the country and abroad. Ptr. Noly Garvida landed a job in Misamis Oriental in 1986 and then started a small house church with two families as members under the covering of CLSF in 1991. The church started to grow in number and transferred its location inside the 4ID, CAmp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro sometime in 1993. It grew in number and moved its location to Max Suniel St., beside the Petron Gas Station in 1996. Its present location is now in Patag, Zone 6, Cagayan de Oro City
